It's Been a Violent 36 Hours


Our area has seen multiple violent incidents in the past 36 hours. It started about 1am yesterday with stabbing in the 100 block of Capitol Avenue NE (Ivy City). I don't have any information on the status of the victim, but here's the original alert.

Alert: Stabbing at 0100 hours in the 1900 block of Capitol Ave, NE. LOF: B/F, 35-40 YOA, 5'9", 130 pounds, wearing all black clothing.

A little over 30 minutes later (1:39am) someone was stabbed in the 1200 block of Simms Street NE (Trinidad). No status on the victim.

The last night around 10:22pm a man was shot in the 1000 block of 17th Place NE (Carver-Langston). Per an email from 5D Lieutenant Patrick Brescia the victim was taken to a local hospital "for treatment of non life-threatening injuries."

Very early this morning (about 1:17am) a woman "sustained non life-threatening injuries after being cut with a knife by the suspect" in the 1500 block of Benning Road NE. That's from an email sent by Lieutenant Brescia. I don't see an alert for that one.
