Prince of Petworth reports that
Red Rocks Pizzeria is headed for the
Evolve owned space at 1348 H Street. Originally the space was to become
Sweet Charleston's which would have served up low country food.
It should be noted that this is basically two buildings that were combined a while back, so that's going to make it a HUGE restaurant space (according to the PoP post it will be 7,000 sqft spread over 3 stories). Red Rocks uses a woodburning oven to turn out Neopolitan style pies.

like I always say, "the bigger the restaurant, the BETTER the restaurant". just look at lauriol plaza
This is good, because there aren't enough pizza places on H Street.
Finally, a place for me, a beautiful single white woman to eat on H St.
Amanda-
you are always welcome to come dine at Chez Charles in Rosedale. I do so enjoy the company of a beautiful, single white woman ;)

give me a break. you'd rather the place sit vacant? spoiled brat with all your pizza options.
Charles- what do you look like?
Amanda-

Sure! Why, there's H and Pizza, and, um, Liberty Tree...and...yeah, that's all I got.
@Charles,
FYI: "Amanda" is a 45 year old Samoan man who smells like sardines and walks with a cane.
Amanda and Charles, I can show you both a great time. At the same time. I have two tailstretchers and a two gallon drum of dragon juice ready to go. Call me maybe?
What's a tailstretcher?
Would love for a Thai place to enter into the mix. Once one gets here, I won't need to wander out to NW anymore. Praying that Hikari sushi will be good.
Agreed, we do the same almost weekly, hopefully it can be a GOOD Thai spot like Ethiopic is for its respective cuisine. There are more mediocre Thai spots in DC than great ones.
Can we please get a bakery up in here?!?!?
Why, yes, we can get a bakery:

Any update on how timing is going regarding the open?
