Heaven & H to Open on Black Friday?
Heaven & H (701 H St NE) is slated to open next Friday, November 29th ("Black Friday") according to one of the roughly half dozen people I saw meeting inside Heaven & H Saturday evening (all of whom appeared to be staff). The interior of the space is bright and inviting. All of the signage that was formerly on the windows of the space has been removed, letting more light enter the space.
In mid-September, the Washington City Paper reported that the (re-)opening was scheduled for October, but experienced H Street watchers know to always expect a bit of a delay between the time of any projected opening date and the date that doors are actually open to the public. Most of the details we originally covered regarding this project, including plans to memorialize former owner June Lim, appear to still be in place. Hopefully this new opening date will stick.

Good luck to the new management. Looks like a good refresh. And it's nice to have options that are not tragically-trendy and overpriced...
"tragically-trendy and overpriced..."
What exactly does that mean?
It's not as if you are eating your dinners at Good Danny's, looking for a fresh and healthy alternative...or roaming the aisles at Murrays, complaining they ran out of turkey necks...
Hands if you think Alan should adopt a hilarious nickname like turn_a_page
