Cultivate the City has put down roots on the roof of W.S. Jenks & Son Hardware
The trade publication Hardware Retailing has a fun profile of Trinidad's own W.S. Jenks & Son (910 Bladensburg Road NE) point out that the shop offers a lot more than your typical tools. If you haven't been to the rooftop recently, try to visit soon. There's a lot to see with Cultivate the City's plants for sale and greenhouses that have helped transform the roof into an urban farm and a welcoming space.

Will do. Haven't been yet.
Jenkins & Sons is our go to hardware store (sorry Fragers). And the rooftop garden store is pretty cool. We pick our weekly CSA up there in the spring.
CSA?
Random question as I don't have a place to put it, but how is Whole Foods allowed to sell singles? Cans of wine, etc. I thought stores on H Street couldn't do that. Just curious.
Stores on H can sell singles, unless they have an ANC 'voluntary' agreement not to.
CSA = community supported agriculture.
i.e., not the same carrots you're able to purchase at any safeway, giant, walmart, etc.
K on K Street,
There's info on Cultivate the City's website under "production."
