Shooting Last Night Near 1400 Block of Maryland Ave

I did not get the alert for this one, but an alert did go out at 5:53pm last night. The alert text is below. Per an email from an MPD representative to a local email list the adult male victim was located in the 1400 block of Maryland Ave. NE suffering from a gunshot wound, and was transported to a local hospital.



Shooting at 1729 hrs in the 1400 block of Maryland Ave NE. Lookout for Black male wearing a grey hoodie with the hood up and blue pocket on the front and white pants.

In a separate event, there was a stabbing Sunday night about 8:30pm in the 1700 block of Trinidad Ave. NE.

Alert:stabbing at 2030 hrs in the 1700 block of Trinidad Ave., NE. Lookout for B/M, 51 yoa, 5'5", 130 lbs, wearing a gray t-shirt and gray shorts

That stabbing suspect reminds me of a man on the X2 a few years back who caused an incident that had everyone on
the bus evacuate... I was riding the X2 a few years back, it was before the streetcar got running and a fella was getting
ready to stab some young kid. We all evacuated the bus, the driver called MTP but then the suspect
got off and ranaway before the police arrived.

Maybe MPD can search X2 incident reports, granted thats a big stack but look for an incident in the evening..
