A man was shot in the leg around 12:22am this morning in the 1200 block of I Street NE. The victim, whose injury was described as "non-life threatening," was taken to a local hospital for medical care. The information above comes from a message sent by MPD 1D Lieutenant Seth Anderson to a local email list. The email (sent at 5:17am) also indicated that MPD did not have detailed lookout information for suspects at the time, but the original alert that went out at 12:43am did mention a lookout for two black males in a silver Mercedes.
