WCP Covers Pop Up Bubbie's Plant Burgers & Fizz

Laura Hayes over at the City Paper wrote about Bubbie's Plant Burgers & Fizz, which will pop up at Rock & Roll Hotel (1353 H St. NE) starting in early May. The entire menu of burgers, other sandwiches, salads, and sides will be plant-based and Kosher. More importantly, it pretty much all looks awesome. Bubbie's comes our way from the Pow Pow (1253 H St. NE) team, who have plenty of experience crafting their own cheeses, proteins, and sauces in-house. The Colonel Cluck ($8) features fried chicken seitan on a soft roll with crispy lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion and "yum sauce." They've even made a plant-based pork belly bacon to go on the Monkey Wrench. Order up some beet root hummus with sesame crackers, or just go with the classic fries or tots.
