A car struck the Starburst CVS (845 Bladensburg Road NE) a little before 7pm last night. According to DC Fire and EMS two cars were involved in the collision. Two people suffered minor injuries, and another sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries. This was not the first time a driver ran into that CVS. It also happened back in 2011.
A few blocks down the street Eddie's Carry Out (1251 Bladensburg Rd NE) found itself in hot water after a customer picking up his order noticed his receipt had a racial slur (the N word) in the space for the customer name. Fox 5 reported the incident and has more details. Per that report, the owner apologized and promised it would not also happen again. He also said the employee wrote down the nickname the customer gave him (the customer denied this).
