I recently was asked where one could get a good diner style breakfast on H. We're, unfortunately, a bit short on diner type food that isn't carryout. None the less, I've put together a short list of breakfast options on H.

In the Florida Market...
K-Young's Deli -restaurant
325 Morse 5:30am-4:00pm
This hole in the wall serves up tasty Korean fare at a good price. Get your bib bim bap fix before you hit the flea market, or the many shops that populate the Florida Market. The menu also features Salvadorian and American food for those misbegotten souls who refuse to eat kimchee for breakfast. Limited seating [12-16 seats].
Don Pepe's Bakery and Cafe 300 Morse St.
Salvadorean Breakfast, Lunch, baked goods. M-Sat: 6:00 am - 3:00 pm.
J & P Cafeteria 1301 4th Street.
M-Sat: 4:00 am - 4:00 pm. Korean and American food. I've never eaten there, but a friend of mine has. He still prefers K-Young's.
Deli Spanish Market -1309 5th Street
Carryout only. Salvadorian. I've never eat here, but it made the Post's list of attractions in the Market a while back.
Market Deli. 423 Morse Street.
M-Fri: 5:00 am - 3:00 pm. Sat: 5:00 am - 12:00 pm. Breakfast and lunch. Limited seating.
Here's past coverage of the breakfast issue.
And memories of past breakfast spots the Rib Tip and the Ohio.
Feel free to add anything I missed.

you obviously forgot sidamo...
Don't forget Sidamo
again, PLEASE tell me how to get ahold of whatever it is that richard's been smoking!
PLEASE!!!
LOVE Sidamo's sign!! I can see it becoming just as identifiable to H Street's west end as the Atlas sign is to the east end. Great addition to the corridore Sidamo! Thank you!
My friends and I have been discussing the offer of free wifi in the MacDonalds for a while now. Weirdness.
P.S. I never thought soda could ever taste that bad.
Inked--thank you so much! I had no idea there are so many options.
Greasy breakfast awaits at Tony's
OH, NOOOOO!
That is a truly terrifying photo.
Don't forget Cafe Roma at 411 18th NE. Italian pastries and more.
ibc,
Tony's is greasy, but perfect for when you get the craving.
Anon 417,
Cafe Roma is a little outside my area, but it looks great from the photos I've seen. It is an Italian bakery and cafe located at 411 18th Street.
You may also wish to visit-
Jacob's Coffee at 401 8th Street, which offers pastries, sandwiches and more.
Jimmy T's, a diner located at 501 East Capitol SE.
Poo Poo,
perhaps the secret's in the soup. Maybe you just need to checkout K-Young's. I think he had ordered the kimchi jigae that day.
if their kimchi does that, i'm there! i just need to figure out their hours, because unfortunately, i work a 9-5 job.
maybe when i have a day off, i'll give it a shot.
thanks for the choice-of-the-day for us working people!
btw, good luck on your BAR exam.
methinks you will be one of those students that will excel when you have a job.
